HOMICIDE
The Jefferson City Police Department is seeking information leading to the arrest of the person or persons involved in the murder of Tyrone JOHNSON.
On September 9, 2005 at about 6:00 AM, Tyrone Johnson, a 33 year old black male, left his residence on Timber Rd in Jefferson City, and was shot to death as he attempted to enter his car. Johnson's girlfriend attempted to contact him after hearing multiple gunshots, and found Johnson lying on the parking lot near his car suffering from gunshot wounds. Johnson was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
One witness related seeing a white male with numerous tatoos standing in the shadows near Johnson's residence a few minutes prior to the murder. Police are still attempting to identify this individual.
